PCaSO is a charity for men diagnosed with prostate cancer run by patients diagnosed with prostate cancer.

On this site is information about prostate cancer you can read or download, a number you can call to talk to someone (top left, every page), details of meetings where you can talk to other men who have been through what you are going through, background about PCaSO and what we do.
On these pages you can read reliable and up-to-date information about prostate cancer and prostate problems. You can also download or order any of our publications for more detail. If you have questions or want to talk, our Specialist Nurses are here for you.

A friendly trained volunteer who understands the impact of cancer can visit patients and/ or carers at home to listen to any emotional or practical concerns, talk about treatment options, gather information for you and help you decide on your next steps.  Volunteers can also help you to prepare and accompany you to hospital appointments.  Dorset Macmillan Advocacy is provided by Help and Care in partnership with Dorset Advocacy and funded by Macmillan Cancer Support. We are happy to come and tell you more about the service. Please telephone 0300 012 0256.

The Dorset Cancer Care Foundation has been established to provide financial assistance to cancer sufferers and their families. By the provision of grants, the foundation will provide financial support to aid with the recovery and treatment that patients need, when traditional care may be insufficient. The foundation will also support and work with other Dorset based Cancer Groups, Organisations and Hospitals to help assist with research and education into finding a cure for cancer as well as medical equipment required for the treatment of cancer patients.
